This case study details the digital transformation project undertaken by the Port of Piraeus Authority (PPA) S.A., a member of COSCO SHIPPING Group, to enhance vehicle logistics through end-to-end digitization and optimization. The project involves the implementation of an intelligent IT system from INFORM Vehicle Logistics, aimed at improving efficiency and transparency in vehicle handling at the port's car terminal. The system allows stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, to track vehicle deliveries via a web portal. It optimizes operational processes through real-time decision-making and advanced planning, thereby increasing service capacity and resource utilization. The case study also highlights the strategic importance of the Port of Piraeus as a key transit hub for trade between Europe and Asia, and the role of digital decision-making in enhancing operational efficiency. The project is expected to make the car terminal more competitive and attractive to customers, contributing to the overall growth of the port's operations.
