SEMARNAT Data Integration and Reporting Success

This case study outlines the successful implementation of ibi™ solutions by Mexico's Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) to enhance their analytics capabilities. Previously, SEMARNAT relied on manual processes and print publications for disseminating environmental information, which proved inefficient. The adoption of a business intelligence platform allowed SEMARNAT to streamline data management, significantly reduce reporting times, and improve the dissemination of environmental statistics. The National System of Environmental and Natural Resources Information (SNIARN) was developed to integrate and manage statistical data on natural resources and environmental conditions. This system supports the formulation of strategies for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. Additionally, the National System of Environmental Indicators (SNIA) was created to provide insights into the environmental situation in Mexico. The case study emphasizes the flexibility and scalability of ibi's platform, which enables SEMARNAT to meet growing information demands and future technological advancements.
