This case study documents the development and implementation of a School Nutrition Management System (SNMS) by InfoVision, a leading provider of school nutrition software in the USA. The project aimed to enhance the existing on-prem legacy system through maintenance and support while focusing on innovative, adaptive enhancements. Key challenges included ensuring unwavering accuracy and precision, creating scalable automation testing frameworks, and personalizing the software for diverse student demographics. The methodology employed involved a fully integrated inventory management system and a Selenium-based test automation framework. The project achieved significant milestones, including a 41% reduction in time to market and defect-free releases.
