This report presents findings from 53 in-depth interviews with business leaders in Poland, conducted as part of a joint project by ING Bank Śląski and the European Economic Congress. It outlines the current state of the Polish economy, noting that while Poland has experienced significant economic success, the sources of this growth are becoming exhausted. The report discusses the need for changes at the EU, national, and company levels to establish a new growth model focused on investments and innovation. It highlights challenges such as rising labor and energy costs, stagnation in industrial production, and the necessity for a strategic development plan. Business leaders express concerns over excessive regulations and the need for a more favorable business environment. The report also emphasizes the importance of attracting skilled workers and improving the financial system to support innovation and growth, particularly in the context of increased geopolitical risks and opportunities in the defense sector.
