Integration of Inovance Products at Vascat

This case study outlines the collaboration between Vascat, a Spanish electrical motor manufacturer, and Inovance, a global industrial automation company. The primary objective was to integrate Inovance's MD520 AC drive into Vascat's existing system to enhance motor control performance during product testing. The integration presented challenges due to differing parameter structures between the new drive and the legacy system. However, Inovance products proved effective, allowing Vascat to test a wide range of motors, including induction and synchronous motors, with or without feedback. Key features of the solution included seamless integration via EtherNet/IP communication and compatibility with a common DC bus architecture. Vascat benefitted from enhanced motor control capabilities and received strong technical support throughout the commissioning process. Feedback from Vascat's Technical Office Manager indicated a positive collaboration, emphasizing the successful adaptation of Inovance's solutions to meet specific testing requirements.
