This case study details the implementation of a new HR competence mapping solution at A.P. Moller – Maersk, a global leader in container shipping and logistics. The Internal Audit department recognized the need for a new solution due to the retirement of their legacy system following a shift to a new HR platform. The objective of the new system was to support personal development plans and identify competence gaps within the department. The decision to implement InRule's digital process automation platform was driven by factors such as cost efficiency, flexibility, and ease of use. The implementation process was completed in eight weeks, involving a small project team and support from InRule consultants. The new tool is now operational and assists in identifying skills gaps and creating structured development plans for employees. This initiative has enhanced the credibility of the department and improved their ability to address competence gaps effectively.
