This report details the outcomes of the Mastery Leadership Institute (MLI) attended by Norfolk Public Schools and Spartanburg School District 7 in February 2025. The MLI provided comprehensive training focused on the Mastery Connect assessment management system, emphasizing both technical skills and leadership strategies. Participants engaged in hands-on experiences that fostered collaboration among educators and facilitated the development of actionable implementation plans. Key insights included the unique challenges faced by each district in leveraging Mastery Connect effectively. The training empowered educators, such as Lenora Diane Blow and Wanda Greenfield, to transition from uncertainty to confidence in using data-driven instruction. The report outlines a structured approach known as the 48-Hour Challenge, which guides educators in standardizing assessments and utilizing data for targeted interventions. The MLI not only enhanced technical capabilities but also inspired a culture of responsive, student-centered instruction across the districts, ultimately leading to improved educational outcomes.
