State of Student Success and Engagement in Higher Education

This report presents findings from a year-over-year research study on student success and engagement in higher education, specifically focusing on Singapore. Conducted in collaboration with Hanover Research, the study surveyed 1,457 participants, including students, faculty, and administrators, to identify key factors influencing student success. The report outlines six significant trends that emerged from the data, emphasizing the importance of skill competency, holistic development, and work readiness. It highlights the evolving expectations of students regarding convenience and flexibility in learning, particularly in the post-pandemic context. The report also discusses the impact of socioeconomic factors on student engagement and success, noting that psychological well-being is increasingly recognized as crucial.
