This case study details LG Innotek's implementation of an AI-powered automated inspection solution utilizing Intel® Core™ Processors, Intel® Arc™ GPUs, and Intel® Xeon® Processors. The objective of this initiative was to enhance the quality and productivity of precision component manufacturing processes, achieving a defect detection rate of 99.99%. Traditional rule-based inspection systems faced challenges in adapting to new materials and specifications, often leading to ambiguous standards due to subjective operator judgments. The new AI solution aims to eliminate these challenges by providing a fully automated inspection process that ensures product integrity and minimizes human-related risks. The case study outlines the performance improvements and cost savings achieved through the integration of Intel technologies, emphasizing the advantages of using integrated GPUs over traditional discrete GPUs.
