Enhancing Efficiency in Medical Imaging Operations

This case study details the implementation of Intelerad solutions at South Jersey Radiology Associates (SJRA), which operates 12 outpatient facilities. The organization has adopted a unified PACS system to enhance operational efficiency and patient care. The case study outlines the challenges faced by SJRA, including outdated legacy systems and operational inefficiencies due to multiple PACS. After evaluating several options, SJRA selected IntelePACS for its ability to streamline workflows and improve productivity. The deployment of InteleViewer has facilitated a more integrated approach to radiology, allowing radiologists to access all necessary information within a single interface. The case study also highlights the benefits of the Physician Portal, which provides referring physicians with quick access to patient images and reports. Additionally, the Breast Imaging module has improved workflows and saved time for radiologists. SJRA plans to further enhance efficiency by utilizing Intelerad’s Assignment Engine for case distribution, ensuring optimal resource allocation among radiologists.
