Partners In Health Streamlines Global Transfer of Medical Images

This case study details the collaboration between InteleShare and Partners In Health to enhance the transfer of medical images from Haiti to Boston. The initiative aimed to address the challenges faced by the University Hospital in Mirebalais, which included difficulties with VPN setup and frequent internet connection issues. Prior to implementing InteleShare, the process of sending medical studies was highly manual and often resulted in delays. The partnership has led to a significant improvement in image transfer success rates, achieving 100%. The installation of InteleShare has reduced image upload times for CT scans from three minutes to one minute, allowing for faster patient care. The case study outlines the benefits of this technology, including the elimination of image transfer challenges and the ability for the organization to scale its operations. With over 1,000 patient visits a day, the hospital has been able to focus on improving essential care services for rural communities in Haiti.
