This case study outlines the approach taken by New Mexico State University (NMSU) Global Campus to enhance student engagement through data-driven insights. The document describes the challenges faced in identifying at-risk students and the inefficiencies of manual data retrieval from their Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas. To address these issues, NMSU Global implemented IntelliBoard, a platform that provides real-time analytics and reporting capabilities. The integration of IntelliBoard allowed the team to quickly analyze student data, automate notifications, and proactively support students showing signs of disengagement. The results included the identification of 217 inactive students, with a successful re-engagement of 204 students within two weeks, achieving a 94% success rate. The case study also discusses future plans to enhance data aggregation and improve retention rates, showcasing the institution's commitment to leveraging analytics for better student outcomes.
