This case study details the implementation of Interfolio at Case Western Reserve University, focusing on the transformation of faculty affairs processes. The Faculty Affairs Office manages various aspects of the faculty lifecycle, including hiring, promotions, and tenure. Prior to adopting Interfolio, the university faced challenges with its existing HR system, which was not user-friendly and lacked essential features for managing faculty applications effectively. The transition to Interfolio Faculty Search in March 2023 streamlined the recruitment process, enhancing collaboration and organization. Additionally, the implementation of Interfolio Review, Promotion & Tenure (RPT) improved efficiency in handling promotion and tenure workflows. The case study outlines the benefits experienced by faculty candidates, search committees, and administrators, including better visibility into applications and improved document management. The successful adoption of Interfolio has allowed the university to expand its use for various faculty-related actions, significantly improving operational efficiency and user experience.
