Iris Telehealth Support for Community Mental Health

This case study outlines how Iris Telehealth assisted Community Mental Health for Central Michigan (CMHCM) in expanding their care team through the integration of teletherapists. CMHCM, a community mental health service provider, faced challenges in recruiting full-time therapists, particularly in rural areas, which impacted their ability to meet the increasing demand for mental health services. The partnership with Iris Telehealth enabled CMHCM to match with three full-time Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) who met the specific needs of their diverse patient population. The case study details the recruitment process, including the criteria used to identify suitable therapists and the collaborative efforts between Iris and CMHCM to ensure a seamless integration of the new providers into the existing team. As a result of this collaboration, CMHCM was able to reduce provider caseloads and improve patient access to care, demonstrating the effectiveness of telehealth solutions in enhancing mental health services.
