This case study details a significant digitization project undertaken by one of Poland's largest banks to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience. The bank faced challenges in managing a large archive of historical documents while striving for productivity through digital records. As part of a nine-month engagement, over seventy specialists from Iron Mountain scanned 32.5 million pages, resulting in 1.4 Terabytes of digital images. The project aimed to digitize only the most frequently used documents rather than the entire archive, providing a cost-effective solution. The results included significant efficiency gains across over 600 branches, allowing employees to focus more on customer service rather than document retrieval. Financial savings were also achieved by reducing the need for leased storage space. The successful implementation ensured that crucial mortgage and financial documents remain secure, accessible anytime and anywhere, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience.
