Digitization Project for Banking Documents

This case study outlines a digitization project undertaken by one of Poland's largest banks to enhance operational efficiency by digitizing frequently-used documents. The bank faced challenges in managing a large archive of historical documents while needing to improve productivity. Iron Mountain specialists were engaged to scan and upload digital records to the bank's central repository as part of an end-to-end service. Over a nine-month period, more than 32.5 million pages were scanned, generating 1.4 terabytes of images. This project resulted in significant efficiency gains across over 600 branches, allowing employees to focus more on customer service rather than document retrieval. The bank achieved financial savings by relinquishing leased storage space and created a more sustainable, paperless operation. The immediacy of digital records improved customer experiences, ensuring quick responses to inquiries and better management of important financial documents.
