This report presents findings from a survey conducted by ISACA involving 3,270 IT audit, risk, governance, privacy, and cybersecurity professionals, including 601 from Europe. The survey focuses on knowledge gaps related to artificial intelligence (AI), current policies, and the outlook for jobs in the context of AI advancements. It reveals that only 21% of organizations have a formal policy governing AI use, while 40% report an increase in generative AI applications. The report highlights that 89% of respondents identify misinformation as a significant risk associated with AI, with only 21% confident in their organization's ability to detect AI-generated misinformation. Additionally, it discusses the perceived impact of AI on jobs, with 86% believing many positions will be eliminated in the next five years, yet 82% of digital trust professionals remain optimistic about the positive effects of AI on their careers, emphasizing the need for enhanced training and skills development in AI technologies.
