This technical report examines the impact of Istation's reading curriculum on student growth as measured by the ISIP scores from the beginning to the end of the academic year. The study involved 44,968 kindergarten through third-grade students in Idaho schools that implemented the Istation curriculum during the 2021-2022 school year. Key findings indicate that adherence to usage recommendations of 20 to 40 minutes per week resulted in higher ISIP score and percentile gains compared to those who did not meet these recommendations. Notably, kindergarten students who exceeded the recommendation showed significantly higher gains than those who merely met it. The report also details differences in growth among students in various tiers, with Tier 2 and Tier 3 students demonstrating more substantial percentile growth compared to Tier 1 students. Overall, the results suggest that consistent engagement with the Istation curriculum can lead to improved reading outcomes, particularly for younger students during critical learning periods.
