This case study outlines the implementation of a machine learning-powered sales forecasting solution for a textile manufacturing company. The client faced challenges with their existing sales forecasting system, which relied on labor-intensive and error-prone spreadsheets. To enhance forecasting capabilities and optimize resource allocation, the client sought a more advanced solution. IT Convergence conducted a thorough evaluation of various machine learning and statistical models, ultimately selecting the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model for time series forecasting. The implementation was carried out in phases, starting with top-tier management and key users, allowing for fine-tuning based on feedback. The solution effectively integrated with diverse data sources and provided precise sales forecasts for a 365-day period, accessible via an executive dashboard.
