This case study presents a statistical modeling analysis focusing on the effectiveness of a new laundry detergent formulation compared to an existing one, utilizing Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) techniques. The primary objectives include comparing the cleaning performance of both formulations and determining the influence of various washing conditions such as water temperature, washing time, and agitation level on cleaning effectiveness. The study involved an experimental design with multiple treatment combinations, resulting in a total of 36 experimental runs. The effectiveness was quantified by measuring the percent increase in brightness of fabric specimens after washing with each formulation. The results were visually represented through graphs and numerically summarized in tables, facilitating a comprehensive analysis of the data. The ANOVA model was employed to evaluate the significance of the factors affecting cleaning performance, revealing substantial evidence of differences in effectiveness across the tested conditions. This study serves as a detailed examination of detergent performance under varying experimental parameters.
