This research article investigates the effectiveness of music listening on anxiety and stress levels among primiparous pregnant women in their third trimester. The study was conducted as a randomized controlled trial involving 120 participants, who were divided into a music group and a control group. The music group engaged in listening to Turkish classical music for 20 minutes daily over a period of 10 days, while the control group received standard prenatal education without the music intervention. The State and Trait Anxiety Inventory and the Pregnancy Stress Rating Scale were administered to both groups before and after the intervention. Results indicated a significant decrease in state anxiety scores in both groups, with the music group showing a notable reduction in total PSRS scores compared to the control group. The findings suggest that listening to Turkish classical music can be a safe and effective non-pharmacological method to alleviate anxiety and stress in pregnant women during the third trimester.
