This technical report presents a framework for automating medical coding and insurance claims processing using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on cloud systems. The report outlines the inefficiencies of traditional manual coding processes, which are becoming increasingly ineffective and costly due to the rising volume of clinical data and insurance transactions. It describes how the proposed system utilizes deep learning models trained on annotated Electronic Health Records (EHRs) to accurately encode clinical data into standard medical code systems, such as ICD-10-CM and CPT-4. The report details the modular architecture of the system, emphasizing data privacy, regulatory compliance, and scalability. It also discusses the implementation of real-time claim validation and feedback loops to enhance accuracy. Experimental results indicate significant improvements in processing time and accuracy, while the report concludes with a discussion of limitations, ethical considerations, and future work in the field.
