This technical report outlines the findings from an internal network penetration test conducted by vPenTest Partner for ABC Company. The primary objective of the assessment was to identify potential vulnerabilities within the organization's network infrastructure by simulating real-world attacks. The assessment targeted 106 systems, revealing 24 vulnerabilities, including 13 that were deemed critical. Key vulnerabilities identified include the ZeroLogon exploit and systems affected by MS17-010 (EternalBlue), which pose significant risks if exploited. The report details the methodologies used, including host discovery and service enumeration, to uncover misconfigurations and vulnerabilities. Additionally, it highlights effective password security controls but emphasizes the need for immediate remediation of identified vulnerabilities to protect sensitive information, particularly in the education sector. The report concludes with a remediation roadmap to enhance the organization’s security posture by addressing configuration, patching, and protocol deficiencies.
