This report presents the findings of the study titled 'Transparency Review and Accountability in Cyber Security (TRACS)', commissioned by the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® and legal experts. The study evaluates fourteen leading enterprise cybersecurity products through legal review and technical analysis, focusing on transparency, compliance, and trust. Key findings indicate that while all vendors confirm compliance with GDPR, none have claimed alignment with the EU Cyber Resilience Act. The report outlines the importance of transparency in agreements, noting that all vendors use closed-source models. It emphasizes the need for enterprises to treat transparency and compliance as core criteria in vendor selection, and it provides practical recommendations for due diligence, incident readiness, and privacy configuration. The study aims to enhance the understanding of cybersecurity solutions and their implications for enterprise governance and risk management.
