This case study presents the efforts of Katzcy in promoting career pathways for displaced workers in Northern Virginia, particularly focusing on the cybersecurity sector. The COVID-19 pandemic led to significant job losses, creating a need for new career paths in resilient industries. The initiative aimed to provide displaced workers with in-demand skills while addressing the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals. Katzcy was selected for its expertise in branding and outreach, which was crucial for attracting qualified applicants to the VA Cyber Skills Academies program. The program offered full scholarships for cybersecurity training and certification, supported by a grant from the state of Virginia. Katzcy implemented an extensive automation plan to streamline the application process and enhance user satisfaction. Their marketing strategy included a strong brand presence, clear messaging, and engaging promotional activities, such as a virtual career fair, which resulted in over 300 registrations and 1,400 initial applications. The case study highlights Katzcy's successful recruitment efforts and innovative approaches.
