This case study details the journey of an automotive manufacturer as it enhances its Body Control Module (BCM) testing processes using the Keysight i7090 Massively Parallel Board Test System. The manufacturer faced challenges in integrating an In-Circuit Test (ICT) station to improve board reliability and reduce test time while operating within limited floor space. The study outlines the importance of the BCM in vehicle operations and the necessity for effective testing methods to ensure quality. It contrasts ICT with Functional Circuit Testing (FCT), emphasizing the advantages of ICT in early defect detection and reduced risk of component damage. The adoption of the Keysight i7090 allowed for testing up to 20 boards simultaneously, significantly increasing throughput and efficiency. The integration was seamless, leading to high-volume production while maintaining quality standards. This case study exemplifies how innovative testing solutions can address manufacturing challenges and enhance operational effectiveness in the automotive sector.
