This case study outlines the implementation of a cloud-based customer portal, EquipmentCloud®, by RAMPF Production Systems GmbH & Co. KG. The objective was to enhance customer communication and streamline internal processes. The existing customer communication solution was replaced to improve data security and facilitate agile development for global customer service. The new portal allows for better organization of communication and provides a central point for accessing project information. Key features include automated document integration, user self-registration, and a dashboard for real-time updates. The project faced challenges such as ensuring intuitive handling for users and migrating existing data. The implementation resulted in significant improvements, including a 99% reduction in project communication via the cloud and increased efficiency across functional areas. The EquipmentCloud® solution has created a competitive advantage for RAMPF by enabling effective customer service and project management.
