This case study details the implementation of GitHub Copilot for a large financial services firm facing challenges in rolling out the platform to 1,000 developers. The firm recognized the need for specialized roles to manage the integration and user adoption due to limited internal resources. To address this, LABUR deployed a dedicated team consisting of a Project Manager and two GitHub Administrators. The Project Manager developed a structured rollout plan that aligned with business goals and facilitated communication with stakeholders. The GitHub Administrators executed a phased activation of user licenses, allowing for controlled onboarding. The team also created training metrics and an adoption report, which provided strategic recommendations for enhancing developer engagement. The initiative resulted in the successful onboarding of all developers, improved project governance, and enhanced transparency among stakeholders. The case study emphasizes the importance of strategic insight and data-driven decision-making in the successful implementation of new technologies.
