This case study details the deployment of the Labyrinth system for a leading freight audit and logistics visibility provider, focusing on enhancing the client's infrastructure security. The client, facing significant data protection challenges due to recent hacking incidents in the industry, requested immediate improvements in their information security visibility. The deployment involved setting up Labyrinth Admin and Worker VMs on a VMware vSphere hypervisor and establishing three Honeynets across various segments of the client's infrastructure. The first deployment direction aimed to collect data on potential attackers by placing UniversalWebPoints in the DMZ segment, while the second integrated Points into dev/test servers and management VLANs to detect intrusions via remote access. The system was deployed in under two hours, revealing attempts to access unfinished transactions and unauthorized scans from a developer's workstation. The findings prompted an immediate review of the web application code related to data receipt from users.
