This case study outlines the challenges faced by DECTA, a global payment processing company, in developing its Digital Banking Platform. The objective was to create a fully digital and automated online financial solution while ensuring security and compliance throughout the development process. DECTA encountered significant security obstacles due to the inability to continuously monitor configuration changes, which posed risks of delays and revenue loss. To address these challenges, DECTA selected the Lacework platform, which provided a layered security approach that integrated security into every phase of the software development lifecycle. The implementation of Lacework allowed DECTA to achieve continuous visibility into their cloud workloads, reduce misconfigurations, and streamline compliance reporting. The results included a significant reduction in critical alerts and improved operational efficiency, enabling timely product launches. The case study emphasizes the importance of interlacing security with development to enhance the overall security posture and compliance of the Digital Banking Platform.
