This case study examines the implementation of AI-powered iQueue for Operating Rooms at Memorial Hospital, Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, Rush University Medical Center, and University Medical Center of El Paso. Each facility faced operational inefficiencies in scheduling and block management that impacted case volume and overall efficiency. The study outlines how these hospitals adopted iQueue to standardize visibility into open time requests and block utilization. Memorial Hospital's challenges included siloed scheduling and a lack of real-time data, which led to missed opportunities for utilizing OR time. Monument Health faced difficulties with accessing open OR time, relying on outdated communication methods. Rush University Medical Center struggled with a blocked schedule, making it hard for surgeons to find available operating time. UMC El Paso needed efficient reporting to optimize workflows. The implementation of iQueue led to increased case volumes, improved block utilization, and enhanced surgeon engagement across these institutions.
