This case study details how Dignity Health, a nonprofit network with over 400 care centers, improved its operating room (OR) capacity through the implementation of iQueue technology. The study outlines the challenges faced by Dignity Health, including lack of visibility and inefficient scheduling processes that led to underutilization of OR time. By adopting iQueue, Dignity Health was able to enhance visibility, accountability, and accessibility for OR scheduling. The results included a significant increase in block utilization, a 153% rise in the number of blocks released, and improved patient access to surgical care.
