This case study details the implementation of iQueue for Infusion Centers at Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU). The objective of deploying iQueue was to enhance daily infusion schedules and workflows, ultimately reducing patient wait times and improving chair utilization. Following the implementation, OHSU reported significant decreases in peak chair utilization, drug wait times, and the number of days exceeding maximum capacity. Notably, the program allowed for more balanced workloads among staff, particularly through schedule grooming at the Gresham campus. The case study highlights the positive impact of iQueue on operational efficiency, including a reduction in overtime hours and improved scheduling flexibility for nurses. OHSU's Knight Cancer Institute, recognized as one of the elite NCI-designated Cancer Centers, has implemented this solution across six sites with plans for further expansion. The results indicate that iQueue has effectively addressed key challenges faced by the infusion centers, leading to enhanced patient care and staff satisfaction.
