Novant Health Operating Room Utilization Case Study

This case study details Novant Health's strategic response to challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly regarding operating room (OR) utilization. Headquartered in North Carolina, Novant Health is a non-profit healthcare network with multiple hospitals and clinics. Prior to the pandemic, they aimed to meet growth targets by attracting surgeons and improving OR scheduling. The pandemic exacerbated issues such as elective surgery backlogs and low OR utilization.
