This case study booklet details the implementation of iQueue for Inpatient Flow by UCHealth and Health First, two healthcare systems aiming to enhance their operational efficiency. UCHealth, an integrated healthcare delivery system, faced challenges with manual tools for bed management and sought a data-driven solution to improve patient flow. The iQueue system provided real-time data and predictive analytics, leading to significant improvements in capacity management and patient flow metrics. Health First, another major health system, also adopted iQueue to streamline discharge management and care team coordination. The case study outlines the problems faced by both organizations, such as inconsistent discharge processes and siloed information, and how iQueue addressed these issues by automating discharge prioritization and facilitating better communication among staff. Results from both implementations indicate notable reductions in length of stay, improved discharge processing times, and enhanced collaboration across healthcare teams, ultimately leading to better patient care and operational performance.
