Survey of Canadians on Political Preferences

This report presents the findings of an online survey conducted among Canadians aged 18 and older, with a sample size of 1,568 respondents. The survey, conducted from March 14 to March 16, 2025, aims to explore Canadians' voting intentions and opinions on significant federal political issues. The methodology includes weighting the data according to various demographic factors to ensure a representative sample. Key results indicate that if a federal election were held today, 42% of Canadians would vote for the Liberal Party led by Mark Carney, while 39% would support the Conservative Party. The report also details public perceptions of political figures, revealing that 46% of respondents hold a favorable view of Mark Carney, compared to 39% for Pierre Poilievre. Additionally, 77% of Canadians agree that a priority for Carney should be meeting with President Trump regarding trade tariffs. The report includes a margin of error of ±2.47%.
