This report presents the findings of an online survey conducted from October 27 to October 29, 2023, involving 1,632 Canadian respondents and 1,002 American respondents aged 18 and older. The survey aimed to assess trust levels towards various institutions in both countries. The results indicate that the police is the most trusted institution in Canada at 73%, followed by Elections Canada at 69% and the Supreme Court at 66%. In contrast, large corporations received the lowest trust rating at 28%. The report also highlights that Canadian respondents generally exhibit higher trust levels towards institutions compared to their American counterparts, where only the police and municipal administrations received trust ratings above 50%.
