This document is a case study that outlines the implementation of the Lemongrass Cloud Platform (LCP) for a leading Australian logistics and supply chain business. The primary objective is to optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency by enabling self-service start and stop of workloads in the cloud. It describes how the LCP self-service portal allows users to manage their systems without needing to submit service requests, thus improving agility. The portal features include an EC2 instance list for easy management, alert muting to prevent false alerts, and an audit log for tracking actions. The case study details how the customer was able to shut down unused systems and restart them as needed, leading to reduced service tickets and improved self-sufficiency. The results indicate a significant enhancement in the customer’s ability to manage their SAP systems and applications effectively, driving down unnecessary costs.
