This research brief outlines the implementation and findings of a coaching pilot designed to support educators in integrating LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) learnings into their daily classroom practices. The pilot involved 12 educators who had completed LETRS training and received personalized coaching over a period of approximately three months. Data was collected through self-report surveys assessing the use of LETRS-aligned teaching practices before and after the coaching. Results indicated an increase in educators' self-reported use of these practices across various domains, including phonological awareness and vocabulary development. Qualitative feedback from participants highlighted the positive impact of coaching on their instructional strategies and classroom integration of LETRS principles. The brief emphasizes the importance of continuous support for educators to enhance their teaching effectiveness and improve student outcomes in literacy.
