Successful Implementation of Science of Reading in Secondary Schools

This case study outlines the implementation of the science of reading at Friendship Public Charter Schools, led by Tiffany Goodman, the Director of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. The initiative aims to improve literacy among middle and high school students who were reading below grade level. Goodman recognized the need for targeted professional development to bridge the gap between instructional quality and student performance. The plan includes training 100% of teachers in science of reading strategies, utilizing Lexia Aspire for professional learning.
