This case study details the implementation of Peppermint’s case and matter management system (CMM) by Foot Anstey, a law firm that recognized the need to replace its outdated legacy system. The firm initiated the transition in 2019 as part of a broader growth strategy, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and customization capabilities. The implementation process involved a phased approach, focusing on training and onboarding teams one department at a time. This strategy allowed for tailored support and learning, leading to a smoother transition. By 2023, 17 out of 24 departments had successfully migrated to the new system. The project also necessitated structural changes within the firm, including expanding the software engineering team and conducting extensive data migration. Despite challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the collaboration with Peppermint proved beneficial, with positive feedback from users regarding the system's intuitive workflow and automation capabilities. The firm continues to evolve the system to meet its IT goals.
