This document is a survey report that examines the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in human resources (HR) functions. Conducted by Littler, the survey involved nearly 400 in-house lawyers, HR professionals, and business leaders across various industries in the U.S. The report outlines the current state of AI usage in HR, revealing that while many employers are adopting AI tools, their policies and guidelines for implementation are still developing. A significant portion of respondents reported limited actions in managing AI risks, with only 45% restricting AI usage to approved tools. The report also highlights the lack of external assessments for AI-related risks, with 59% relying solely on internal evaluations. Furthermore, it discusses the regulatory landscape, noting that most organizations have not altered their AI usage despite ongoing regulatory changes. The findings suggest a need for improved collaboration among departments to enhance the management of AI tools in HR.
