This case study details how the Canton du Jura, a Swiss government administration, implemented Login Enterprise to enhance the validation of their VMware-based virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) supporting approximately 900 users. The previous reliance on in-house PowerShell scripts was insufficient for comprehensive performance analysis, particularly during the migration from Trend Micro to Cortex XDR. The team faced challenges in identifying whether performance issues stemmed from infrastructure or security changes. By adopting Login Enterprise, they automated testing processes, achieving a 20% reduction in troubleshooting time and gaining objective metrics for performance validation. The evaluation of the Cortex XDR involved deploying identical virtual machines to measure user-facing metrics, which provided clear insights into performance discrepancies. Continuous testing has since been integrated into their processes, allowing for proactive identification of issues before they affect users. This shift has improved communication with other departments and streamlined the troubleshooting process, ensuring a more effective management of VDI performance and security.
