This case study outlines the migration of a multinational pharmaceutical company's printing infrastructure to a cloud-based solution. The company, which has a significant global presence and annual revenues exceeding $30 billion, aimed to consolidate three existing server-based print solutions into a single cloud-based system. The previous setup involved over 130 servers, which were costly to maintain and incompatible with cloud operations. LRS proposed a scalable output management solution that includes VPSX/DirectPrint and MFPsecure/Print, enabling secure printing and efficient document delivery. The transition to this new environment is expected to save the company over $4 million annually by eliminating redundant print solutions and facilitating the integration of future print needs from critical applications such as SAP and Veeva. The collaboration with LRS not only provided a robust solution but also ensured effective management of the migration process, aligning with the company's strategic IT direction.
