This case study details the collaboration between Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) and Ricoh to implement a secure printing solution for a global technology conglomerate transitioning to an Internet-only IT infrastructure. The organization, with over €75 billion in revenue, faced challenges in securely printing SAP application outputs after disabling its Intranet. The case study outlines the mission to ensure secure output delivery, establish a print mechanism compatible with SAP S/4 HANA, and manage various document formats. LRS proposed a solution utilizing VPSX and VPSX/OutputManager products, which provide robust output management and a certified interface for SAP applications. The integration allows for secure document delivery over Internet connections while maintaining compatibility with existing hardware. The solution simplifies management, enhances reliability, and eliminates the need for legacy print servers. Overall, the case study illustrates how the partnership effectively met the client's current and future printing needs without requiring additional user training.
