This case study details the implementation of a digital patient intake workflow at Metro Vein Centers, a specialty clinic serving an older patient demographic. The clinic faced challenges with manual intake processes, which involved hours of scanning paper forms. By partnering with Luma, Metro Vein Centers customized a paperless check-in process using iPads, significantly reducing the time spent on intake tasks. The new process has saved the clinic over 287 hours each month, with 10,000 pages of paper no longer being scanned. The transition to digital forms has also improved patient experience, as 94% of patients now complete their intake forms digitally. This shift has allowed staff to focus more on patient-facing activities rather than administrative tasks. The collaboration with Luma has enabled Metro Vein Centers to innovate their workflows, resulting in a more efficient and user-friendly intake process that has garnered positive feedback from patients.
