This clinical report evaluates the safety, efficacy, and patient satisfaction associated with a novel laser technology that utilizes simultaneous emission of Alexandrite (755 nm) and Nd:YAG (1064 nm) wavelengths for permanent hair removal. The study involved a prospective, multi-center approach with 53 subjects undergoing five treatment sessions at intervals of 6 to 8 weeks, followed by a 12-month follow-up. The results indicated a significant decrease in hair counts across all treatment settings, with the simultaneous emission treatment (SET) demonstrating the highest efficacy. Specifically, a mean decrease of 84.6% in hair count was observed in areas treated with SET, compared to 73.4% and 63.9% for the 755 nm and 1064 nm treatments, respectively. Patient satisfaction was notably higher for the SET treatment, with 69.1% of participants rating it the highest. The study also reported minimal adverse events, confirming the safety of the dual-wavelength approach for hair removal across various skin types.
