This case study outlines how Roche, a leading biotech company, transformed its Health Technology Assessment (HTA) dossier management by implementing Citavi. The document details the challenges Roche faced due to complex regulatory demands in the European Union, which required managing extensive HTA dossiers that often exceeded 4,000 pages. Prior to adopting Citavi, Roche struggled with inefficiencies and risks of regulatory noncompliance due to the limitations of existing tools like EndNote. The implementation of Citavi allowed Roche to streamline the dossier preparation process, reducing the time required from three weeks of manual work to a single click for dossier exports. The case study highlights the creation of a master database structure for consistency across projects and the automation of RIS file generation and structured citations. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of secure, role-based access for compliance and confidentiality. The successful integration of Citavi has significantly improved Roche's research workflows and overall efficiency in managing HTA dossiers.
