This case study details a project undertaken by DXC Luxoft to assist a leading Australian retail bank in migrating to a cloud-based infrastructure and implementing DevOps automation. The bank faced challenges with outdated technologies and a reliance on legacy systems, which hindered its ability to innovate and adapt to changing customer demands. The project involved upgrading the bank's Temenos Transact system to a cloud-only strategy on Azure, aiming to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. The initiative included training internal teams, developing a migration roadmap, and establishing a DevOps CI/CD capability to facilitate smoother deployments. The execution was structured in three phases: creating a strategic cloud foundation, simplifying and enhancing processes, and enabling accelerated growth. The successful transition aimed to enhance agility, scalability, and compliance within the bank's operations while minimizing disruption to existing services. The project also emphasized the importance of automation and AI in improving productivity and operational effectiveness.
