Fatigue Integrity Assessment of Mooring Lines

This document is a technical report detailing the MoniMoor project, which focuses on the fatigue integrity assessment of mooring lines from floating production systems and floating wind turbines. The project aims to enhance the understanding of fatigue mooring loads through in-depth analyses of existing in-service measurements. It emphasizes the importance of early diagnostics in ensuring the safe performance of floaters, as deterioration of mooring lines can lead to breakage. The report outlines the integration of various monitoring technologies, including the MONITAS and aNySIM Onboard systems, to manage the fatigue integrity of moorings. It discusses the methodologies employed to combine in-situ data with design data to improve mooring integrity management. The scope includes analyzing data from multiple floating production systems and wind turbines, focusing on environmental fatigue loads and potential snap loads. The project is set to run from 2023 to 2026, with participation fees outlined for various stakeholders.
